We started with experiments to determine objective cleaning time

The first goal of the project has been achieved - the manuals are ready!

The second goal of the project is to make 1,200 tests to find out five typical rooms - office, corridor, toilet, classroom, staircase cleaning working time matrices. The purpose of the tests is to find the cleaning times - for example, how long it takes for the cleaning to rise cleanliness level from level 3 to level 4. The tests are carried out in different countries, according to similar rules, to ensure the reliability of the data. All partners in all countries use Vileda cleaning accessories for testing. We try to measure only the differences in working time due to the level of cleanliness, we try to minimize other influencing factors. We would like to thank Vileda, who supported our experiments with professional cleaning supplies!

In Finland, cleaning time and method standards for cleaning work have been developed since 1972, therefore we rely on Finnish experience in working time measurement processes and the activities are managed by the Finnish Cleaning Technology Association (SSTL).

Lessons learned from the first experiments:

- The floors of more than half of the rooms have been clean and it has not been necessary to clean them. In some cases it is necessary to remove pieces of paper from the floor, but there is no need to clean the entire floor with a mop.

- In normal life, there is a practice where the floors are cleaned every cleaning time. Time is spent cleaning a clean floor, but no time is found for cleaning surfaces and furniture.
